LLP KA Project PROMOTE
PROMOTE – Promoting and Validating Key Competences in Mobility and Traineeships in Europe

The project aims at promoting and validating social, personal and organisational key competences such as entrepreneurship, civic competences and learning to learn with the help of an innovative, self-directed learning approach at the interface of higher education and business.
PROMOTE is run by a multi-stakeholder consortium from six universities, two networks, six business partners and two public entities, comprising a large variety of faculties and business sectors.
A holistic and rich open learning environment was created for teams of trainees (students) and staff from enterprises (as part of their continuing professional development) who collaborate in learning projects at the workplace.
140 students and 140 employees collaborated in practical learning projects, accompanied by the project partners from nine European countries and their associated partners. The collaboration will be facilitated by means of a rich, IT aided learning environment – the my-VITA e-portfolio.
In these practical learning contexts the learners will acquire key competences that will be validated with the help of the LEVEL5 system and connected via the e-portfolio with EUROPASS and ECTS certification.
The project seeked to become a permanent Academia-Business network and will be widely disseminated and valorised through intensive networking and business planning.
